"This is boring!" my niece, Gemma, announced at The National Portrait Gallery in Canberra, thereby gaining the attention of everyone else in the building.

We visited a village of miniature castles, the kind fairy princesses could live in, and ate icy-poles shortly after. Not surprisingly, that was scintillating.
